Music on the Beach in Kings Beach to start Friday, June 30
Kings Beach, CA (May 19, 2017): Music on the Beach, the free concert series at Kings Beach State Recreation Area kicks off Friday, June 30 from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. and will continue every Friday evening through September 1, excluding August 11.
Produced by North Tahoe Business Association, the 11th annual Music on the Beach will include 9 free concerts over 10 weeks featuring a wide variety of music genres with local and regional performers.
“Music on the Beach is a great way to get your summer weekend started and has a laid-back feel in one of the most beautiful, natural settings with spectacular sunsets unlike any other Tahoe/Truckee music venue”, explains Joy Doyle, executive director of the North Tahoe Business Association. “If you haven’t experienced Music on the Beach, add it to your summer bucket list”, Doyle urges.
Music on the Beach will kick off with The Sextones on Friday, June 30 followed by Sneaky Creatures on July 7, Calling Ophelia on July 14, Lumanation on July 21, Achilles Wheel on July 28, Mojo Green on August 4, Big Blu Soul Revue on August 18, Yolo Mambo on August 25, and close with The Wrinkle on September 1.
Food provided by Red Truck, The Rub Shack, A Pop Above, Cheri's Hand Dipped Ice Cream, Beef Jerky Etc., Goodies Fresh Squeezed Lemonade will be available from 6:00 - 8:30 p.m. The North Tahoe Business Association will be serving Alibi Ali Works beer in addition to wine and soda from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. Outside alcohol and pets are prohibited. Attendees are invited to bring their own low-back beach chairs and blankets, and are encouraged to arrive at 6:00 p.m. to grab some food and beverages and get settled into their spot on the beach before the band begins performing at 6:30 p.m.
